String Quartet No. 2 in A Minor - I. Precipitato
I wrote this String Quartet while still in college back in the mid 90s. It is in three movements.
The first movement is partly inspired by Prokofiev's 7th Piano Sonata. The final movement there was a Precipitato, and I loved the frenetic full throttle motion of the piece. This first movement to my second String Quartet has that same full throttle relentless drive from start to finish. It is written in Rondo form.
