My first try at serious vore...
My wolverine character, just known as the Carcajou. And some unfortunate rabbit.
This is probably one of my few predatory characters that I can imagine actually gaining weight/becoming bloated. Normally I see predators as too clever to fall for overindulgence, but the Carcajou is very different. He doesn't care, he does what he wants.

Oh my! X33 Ah well, at least it's like a warm soft.. wet and tingely... bed for the bunny X3
I suppose when your a wolverine you won't have to worry about the whole "so bloated you become easy prey yourself" thing, nobody wants to mess with a wolverine x3
Still.. looks huggable... gagk, this pup wouldnt stand a chance ^.^;

Back when I was in high school, when the Internet was still some obscure DARPA project, I spent most of a summer in the public library, reading old medieval bestiaries. I vividly recall an entry about about a badger-like critter who was such a glutton that it would gorge itself until "its stomach was distended like a bell".
And then it was still hungry.
So, yeah. I have no trouble seeing a wolverine wholly unconcerned with getting slowed down by gorging himself.

Very well done, Del! Your ability to color so adeptly and to put to paper a variety of poses (I especially like the feral one on bottom) is reminiscent of a professional illustrator's. And I also appreciate the fact that the vore, while it's serious, is still soft (i.e. the victim is swallowed whole).
That's very encouraging to hear. I always try to mix up my poses and such, but I must admit I'm not very experienced with them yet and I do need more practice. But you're really too kind, aww. <3 I really appreciate your comments!
Well! On the softness of the vore, I wasn't sure what to do really. I find it hard to imagine that a real wolverine would be able to swallow a rabbit whole like that, but at the same time the fantastic nature of it seems to be even more gluttonous and perhaps more fetishized...?
I really pondered adding blood but I don't think I have the skills to illustrate something that had really been eaten, as in chewed to pieces. I think that most of my vore pieces will be similar to this. I am still dabbling with the appeal, and how to present it (I'm uncertain, because most of my own "fantasy" sequences do not really proceed past the suggestion of vore).

You raise a couple of fascinating points! I totally know what you mean by how the soft vore makes it more "fetishized" - in a way, the fact that it's unlikely that the wolverine would swallow its prey whole adds to the drawing's appeal, since it's less realistic - and thus, more evocative of a fantasy.
And what you said about not proceeding "past the suggestion of vore" reminded me of something interesting I read. The cartoonist Gary Larson once remarked that he sometimes deliberately drew dramatic things as they were about to happen - i.e. someone not paying attention at the top of a flight of stairs, about to fall down. He said that this (hopefully) was funnier than showing that same dramatic thing in action - i.e. someone actually falling down the stairs. In the same way, your drawing the "suggestion of vore" can be even more suggestive than the act itself - like, this picture (of vore in action) might be less suggestive than the last one you drew (in which a sly predator was fattening his soon-to-be-prey). I guess it has to do with the old adage that "absence makes the heart grow fonder" and that anticipation of something is sometimes even better than the something itself.

I had hoped as much! I think for these types of fetishes, a good balance of fantastic and realistic qualities are essential to the appeal. For realism I tried to make it emotionally similar to what a rabbit/wolverine would be looking like, if this situation were happening. But for fantasy, well, not only can we see the rabbit through the wolverine's body, but it's in one piece and largely unscathed. I hope that, maybe for those who identify with the rabbit more than the wolverine, this would be pleasing. But for those who identify more with the wolverine, it would still be pretty brutal and gratifying.
But I hope I'm not off-base there! Because I'm not sure if people actually do that - identify with one character/position over another, in a vore piece.
And yes, on the suggestiveness, I completely agree. That quote makes a lot of sense, and I think the suggestiveness of an action creates a suspense that keeps a viewer's interest (hopefully!).
Ah, I love your comments, discussing this is so fun. :)

I hadn't even considered that angle! You're so full of food for thought, Del. (No vore-related pun intended. XD) I had never considered that some viewers would identify with the rabbit, while other ones would picture themselves as the wolverine. Then again, given how voraphiles usually have a strong preference for being predator or prey (just as WG enthusiasts are feeders or feedees), that should've been obvious to me. XD
Well you're full of the same delicious ideas, and good conversation to boot! Hee. :)
I hadn't thought of it either until I started to draw this piece, but I think it's all very interesting, like: who will this appeal to, and why? I'm trying to figure this out, in order to better understand myself I guess.
