TYPE I "LA HELM DE REINE":
At top is the earliest type of helmet used by the Vulpinian Monarchy. Named "the Queen's Helmet" Meant more for ceremonial purposes, it was often worn into battle. It was made of a thin steel dome, surrounded by leather and topped with pressed felt. Right away, soldiers began to see major problems with the helmet including rotting leather, lack of protection, and it's tendancy to fall apart under cold, wet conditions. It would take an entire war for Vulpinia to find an alternative design. This helmet was what the royal vulpine military used through most of the first scourge until it would later be replaced with the Type II.
TYPE II "Reine Type II"
The Type II was a more practical and durable design. Made of all steel. It had canvas chinstraps and a leather sweatband in it's liner. It also allowed for a better range of view. The helmets would come out of the factory as plain with no paint. It would be up to the soldiers to paint them. Many soldiers chose to simply paint them field gray, gray-blue, green, black, or a unique camoflauge pattern. In most cases, no two helmets are painted the same.
In Current day Vulpinia (as well as all of the Endeavor region), these helmets are much sought after as novelty items due to the fact that most helmets were melted down and reused for other industrial purposes.
