A poised and analytical mastermind—Brent’s rationally-minded and industrious ambition make him a formidable and relentless force of nature.

Brent Morris’ life has never been what most would deem ordinary. The river otter was born the only child of an affluent family in the outskirts of San Antonio, Texas, but in truth, that’s only the full story in part. In fact, the young man is scion to the storied Morris family of central Texas—whose ancestor, Quincey Morris, helped slay the infamous Count Dracula more than a century prior. However, unlike the story as told by Bram Stoker, Quincey Morris survived the ordeal only to later wed and sire children of his own. Unfortunately, Brent’s parents had trouble conceiving and sought aid with Blutmond and Native Altars—the modern American confederation of monster hunters and their multinational defense company—for fertility treatment.

You see, the act of slaying the vampire monarch had a profound impact on the Morris clan as the Count’s energy had inextricably affected their own blood in subsequent generations. From the moment of conception, the river otter was subjected with a substance known in hunting society as the Water of Acheron—a mysterious liquid of unknown origin that ostensibly enhanced the natural abilities of those which drank it. Not only did the Water augment the otter’s innate psychic gifts—gifts common within aristocratic hunting families—it made the young man a psionic powerhouse of immense potential.

While the boy was able to live a normal, albeit sheltered, life in central Texas, the river otter often spent his summer months the subject of experimentation in Denver, Colorado at The Nekromanteion—Blutmond’s covert research facility. In the end, Brent Morris was engineered for more than the continuation of the Morris family line. The young man was conceived with the sole purpose of battling a powerful, ancient force many in hunting society knew was soon to dawn. To further monitor and control the psychic boy, they relocated his family to Des Moines, Iowa—the headquarters of Native Altars.

It was here in Iowa that the river otter met a wolverine named Naomi who later introduced him to his future boyfriend, Tyson Bishop. The two dated during their adolescence for eighteen months before dreams of an alien vault and an Eldritch entity known as The Cowboy King occurred. Once Blutmond were made aware of these dreams, they forced the river otter to relocate and sever all ties with his civilian friends. Desiring to protect those he loved, Brent broke up with Tyson and ceased all contact with him and his former support network.

Only time will tell if Brent is able to one day reunite with those who for the first time ever made him feel fully normal and beloved.
