Well I've been watching a lot of Mass Effect Lets Plays lately of both one and two and hoping to get the game soon. So I drew up a new fan character. This time a Quarian. For those that don't know the Quarians are a Nomadic race that live aboard a massive fleet of ships. They were driven off of their homeworld by a race of synthetic lifeforms called the Geth who they themselves created. Quarians have very weak immune systems as microbial life on their world was scarce. Now having lived in the sterile environment of their fleet for so long their immune systems have gotten much weaker. Hence why they tend to always wear an environmental suite to ward off danger of infection even though they are also given vaccinations. Quarians are also based off of Dextro Protein DNA in contrast to our own levo-protein DNA. This means foods of human and other Levo DNA species in at best inedible to them and at worst toxic and likely to illicit an allergic reaction.

Genn here is a Young Turian boy who's studieing for his Pilgrimage. This is a coming of age event where the young Quarian will leave his home ship and find a new ship in the fleet to live on. This involves them traveling often out into the galaxy to accquire something of value as a gift to the prospective captain of the ship they would like to join. Genn hopes to travell beyond the veil into Geth territory to meet the neutral Geth he's heard of. He wants to help bring about peace between the Geth and his people so that Quarians may one day return to the homeworld. He's very bright and good with technology. Cybernetics especially. He can be a bit shy at times but is usually open to making friends which can be difficult for a Quarian given that most see them as Vagrants with the Migrant Fleet drifting from one system to another.

OH in the bubble there is my rendition of what I think the Quarians look like under the helmet. From what we can ell their faces are fairly human. But the hair, ears, skin color, and eye color are all guess work which will change if we ever see what one looks like in game.

Oh and to explain his name. Genn'Kovah is his given name. Nar Stavoma means Child of Stavoma which means the ship he was born on. When he completes his Pilgrimage his name will change to Genn'Kova Vas and whatever the name is of the ship he joins is. For formal things though Nar Stavoma will be added to that.
