Note: all this is really just me kinda thinking out loud and kinda rambling :p
This was going to be my HL2 fan character, Cass (seen here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3356585) but older...now I dunno. I kinda like this girl as like an older sister or sister-like character to Cass. I've been spending my free time at work writing a terrible fan fiction about Cass :V Now I'm just ready to throw the whole thing out the window and start over. Idk though, I'm almost done with it I think, so maybe I'll just go ahead and finish it.
One thing I've always thought about is Overwatch talking about awarding the Combine soldiers with "non-mechanical reproduction simulation" and wondering what exactly that was all about. I've always imagined they have something like a bordello, where women can willingly go to "work". The women are very well taken care of, and are the only civilians allowed to do anything to themselves to make them stand out, or to make them unique. Being an award for the soldiers, they're allowed to do this to be more appealing to the men to heighten the loyalty.
Basically: be a "better" soldier ("better" in quotation marks, because we know how they function...beating quotas and all that), get more booty :p
The only thing is that the women are not allowed to leave the Citadel. Most of them don't care and love their jobs. Others hate it, but are only doing it because they know they're better off working for the Combine, rather than against. To ensure the women's loyalty, and to make sure they don't leave the Citadel, they put non-removable shock collars on them which are programmed to electrocute the girl if tampered with, or if they leave the Citadel. Not really original, I know, but I've always been intrigued by the idea :p
Another part of the idea I've been toying with is the child workers that they cut out of the game. I'm thinking my HL fan stuff would be based around the idea that they kept that in; the children having been kidnapped or "drafted" during or after the 7-hour-war. The male child workers were raised to be soldiers, and the female child workers were raised to either be assassins or the "concubines" for the non-mechanical reproduction simulation.
