She's got two white (pearl?) earrings in her right ear, just enough of an 'outfit' to identify her as a thinking creature rather than a stray pet or wild animal. Good choice for her and you both! What's that under her chin though? A piercing wouldn't work on a beak, but is there some sort of socket glued or mechanically fastened to the hard structure there? Lovely pic though; the old car really sets the scene, and trenchcoat dude idly wondering about what she is and how to politely navigate around her adds just the right amount of story and tension. Her open-winged pose and intent expression really lets me imagine her confident prowl...
As it would appear, in this world this is nor unlike that of the Golden Compass, creatures are sentient and walk among humans as well with not the thought of the Dog Catcher hot onto them as if they were a stray. To me this does look of a Period Piece that being of the late 50s or early 60s. I say thus based on the lights , the coats and the car (to me a Ford Edsel) Whereas if it was later 60s I be seeing more psychedelic colors and hippies man. I do like with the sense of motion you gave to the image as clearly the gryph has a sense of determination and a place to be.
