I'll be honest, the main and original reason I got Mochi was because my bunny of about 5 years died of a tumor. I had this huge hole in my heart and in my life and I really needed something to help me recuperate.
I originally aimed for a rat, but Mochi just caught my eye in the pet store and I never looked back.
I say you should get another one.

Aweee.. Sumomo was at the pet store, was a baby, but someone dropped her off there because they were claled to Iraq and couldnt take care of her. So she was free. I said yes without a second thought.
I have a cat right now, he is 2 years old and has feline leukemia, but shows no symptoms (we're luck) I'm looking up how well cats do with guinea pigs. It looks pretty good.. Daxter is a relaxed cat. Mmn.
Thankyou for making me think about it :3

Nope, guinea's aren't too messy at all. You just have to be careful when you have them outside of the cage, they will not hesitate to poop or pee. Unless you've trained them to go in a litterbox like you can with a rabbit.
But they don't kick out their cage lining nearly as much as bunnies do, if at all. Mine just like to move around her little pink hutch.
