Maeriulm Kyrælacht, mythical lord of Kyre and patron king of the moon and mind, is a particularly revered member of the seven kings.
Although the actual ascent to space age technology occurred primarily during the reign of Narenil Kyrælacht, several generations the younger of the line, Maeriulm is credited with the first proper advances in the direction and leading Kyre out of a dark age of technology. To this day, the imperial library bears a name and plaque in his honor, and the first brick to be laid is a slab of eternal ice (though some speculate it to be more likely a strangely endothermic nuclear reaction in a rare variant of quartz) said to be laid by the lord himself at the ground floor of the first library.
Notably, though he is described first as a wielder of endothermic breath powers, Maeriulm is considered to be the first of the so-called "starlight dragons" - so thoroughly overcome by the Thereshil runes that his very flesh was stripped and replaced by a terrible white conduit. Fearing his own power, he left Kyre to fend for itself long ago, standing watch from the lords' grave far away on the ancestral star, though it is all but certain he still lives.
