The Spider-eyed turtle is an illusive species, often found in dark, moist places. Most commonly in and around mossy forests, but it's not uncommon to find one burrowing in crawlspaces of homes and sheds. Their namesake comes from their eyes - they sport false eyes that mimic a spider's. Only the main ones can see. Their white bands and dotted shell pattern also mimic webbing and a spider's natural body patterns. This turtle species is docile and very shy.
