So, like many other people the first time I saw Jynx my first thought was: "Uuuuh... Nintendo of America? Are you SURE this is a good idea?"
As time went on though, I liked to think of Jynx as a painfully ugly drag queen that wanted nothing more than to be pretty, and it grew on me in its own pitiful way.
Of course then Gold/Silver came along and made it clear all Jynx are female and that amusement was shattered.
But, still. They're kind of cute in their own way, I think.

Oh, Japan.
Actually, I love Jynx, she was dead useful in Stadium for the N64, which is the only version I've ever played.

"Zack: I imagine this pack moving down a street bustling with life and activity and in their wake it's just tampon wrappers, energy-drink cans, and sorrow.
Dr. Thorpe: And that horrible orange slime-trail. It will look like somebody poured salt all over a massive slug made out of burnt umber Crayolas.
Zack: The real horror is that there are obviously many more of them than those pictured. Their population was vastly underestimated by Imperial census. The ganguro are a power to be reckoned with. Bronzer power.
Dr. Thorpe: They're sort of like the opposite of goths. Dark makeup, white circles around the eyes, bleached hair, bright clothes. And somehow they're much, much scarier. Goths could learn a thing or two about true evil from these cats. In order to taste true darkness, you must trade in Bauhaus for The Vengaboys."

I remember when pokemon was coming out, I didn't even realize it was supposed to be a black drag-queen looking-thing until recently. I always just figured it was an octopus-thing in a dress(like ursala from disney's little mermaid... which, thinking about it now was also probably a drag queen)
Jynx looks adorable by the way you draw her! Not so creepy anymore ;v;
