This is the "final" copy of First Gate, which I posted earlier in my gallery.

There is a monument to the fallen heroes by a looming gate that stands watch over the town. I tried to incorporate the grandiose-ness of the high walls and doors while retaining some sadness and mournfulness for the lost soldiers.
