Now that Thanksgiving's over, it's time for festive holidays to begin. And this pic was inspired by the first snowfall we had two weeks ago. But it wasn't just a dusting or a few inches we got. That Monday (Veteran's Day) we got a good 10 to 11 inches that day, followed by sudden drop in temperature of 0 degrees the next few days, breaking previous records on the coldest days in November.
However, things warmed up quickly on the following week, melting all the snow and ice that fell the week before. Unfortunately, this snowfall was just only a wake up call. The worst is still yet to come...
And even though I complain about snow every winter, Marshall on the other hand loves snow. For when he knows when the temperatures drop and see the first snowfall of the year, he knows that the holidays are not too far off. Putting on his thick sweater, boots, mittens, and snow cap, Marshall exits his house to play in the new fresh snow.
Hoping to see some of his friends outside, he spotted Loriel at the park admiring the first snowfall as well. Marshall waddled over to her for a conservation.
Marshall: "Hey Loriel! Admiring the first snowfall of the season?"
Loriel: "Hi Marshall! Yep, I love the first snowfall of the year. I was going to ask Davey to come with me, but his mommy told me that he wasn't feeling well."
Marshall: "Yeah, I heard that Davey caught a nasty bug two days ago. My mommy even sent him a bowl of carrot soup to help him feel better. I even made a get well card for him too."
Loriel: "Awww, that was so nice of you and your mommy in helping Davey feel better. I hope he gets well soon."
Marshall: "Yeah, he's such a nice bunny. I'm hoping for a speedy recovery for him too."
Loriel: "So, do you want to play in the park with me?"
Marshall: "Sure thing Loriel!"
And so, the two cubs walked on over to the park while admiring the fresh falling snow as it slowly covers up the ground.
