It was along the lines of something I had thought about writing about a lot more but somehow never found the time. What if you found a power source that could lift society up several steps, comparable to discovering combustion engines or electricity? And the only side effect was that others that depended on that power for other things like changing shape, levitating, seeing the future, healing wounds or turning people to stone lost access to those abilities?
