Into silence (by hisseefit) (2/3)

How much are you willing to sacrifice for others?
It's said a dragon could live forever, even after shattering his soul into pieces, but it's not so for everyone.
Memories, fragments of past experiences and dreams mix together.
As kids we are afraid of things that we consider childish as adults, but that in some ways tend to repeat themselves over time, perhaps in other forms.
And they lead us to doubt what we know, and to reconsider our past choices.
A young dragon, not even a prince yet. His life force is strong, but not his self-control, nor his judgment.
A young enchantress, not yet skilled enough to be considered a magician in all respects. She doesn't possess a great power, but has all the control necessary to slightly bend the laws of fate to her will.
Together, they commit to save what can be saved.
Sir Cordiale is seriously injured, his life is hanging by a thread, and like the flame of a candle almost completely consumed, he doesn't have much time left before going out.
Silva cannot regenerate his body, she doesn't yet know a spell powerful enough to heal a dying hare.
But by drawing power from Borgon's life force she maybe can do something to prevent his soul from disappearing into the ether. And so she tries to turn him into something that will stand the test of time, although the result can't be considered something alive.
And while the last breaths leave the still warm corpse of the one who was a mentor, a trusted confidant, almost an adoptive uncle, the young dragon and the young vixen hold their hands and stay close together, waiting for fate to be fulfilled, in good or bad luck.
Until all that remains to echo in the dark room, apart from the faint sound produced by dim wavering flames and the soft summer breeze that blows from the semi-open windows, are nothing more than agitated sighs, sobs, whispered prayers.
And everything, slowly, fades into silence...Another new mini-comic made with
hisseefit's help is ready and I couldn't be more satisfied with the result! I worked a lot on the lights for this one and in the sketches proposed to the artist, as well as in the script, in fact I tried to suggest a drama that followed the development of the scene, starting from warmer colors with the first pic, which is surely the one with the most lightweight theme, then moving to colder colors in the second, where instead there was a need to suggest an aura of sadness, finally concluding with the third that is in a sense the sum of both the previous ones, containing both warm and cold colors, fading into melancholy.
I hope I got the desired result ^^
Probably in the future I will return again to the origins of Sir Cordiale, perhaps in a more "extended" way if I'll finally succeed in having a real collaboration with some artist.
For now, please check hisseefit's gallery and give this gal all the support she deserves

No, even if now that you mention it, he has something in common with how they drew Basil Stag Hare in the show. But in my case Sir Cordiale wears an italian military suit, while the one of Basil in the cartoon was a sort of english uniform. Also, Basil in the show has an almost grey fur, Sir Cordiale was brown like a proper hare.
Last but not least, hisseefit has a very Disney-like style ^^
But I'm still glad you made such a comparison, I love the Redwall series (more the books, tho)

I guess it´s kinda wholesome again, but it depends of the person. Because while this is kinda good, there are some disadvantages of being a ghost (Polnareff is the proof)
But anyways, this is some sort of me analyzing things after seeing this post for the third time
Yes, I know I have too much free time

Bruh, you´re one of the only artists that tries to make something better out of drawings, so it´s kinda expected people will (should) pay at least some attention to the lore.
Me? it´s just that when I´m bored, I read something interesting
and sometimes writing fanfics but mainly reading stuff that it´s well made
