I sure didn't expect the storm of comments from me venting about ruined art! o___o
Anyway here is the piece in question. You can't see a lot of the dirty paw marks I've traced it and will transfer and re ink it tonight, and hopefully have it colored before bed.
Losing a piece always puts a damper on the creative process. Starting over is painfully frustrating, but it won't be the last time.

Oh god, I know how you feel. I'm always INSANELY careful with my work, cause even if I try to redraw something, I just never can. It always comes out ten billion times worse than the original to me and it always drives me mad to know the better one was ruined and will never be finished. Dx

Wel, yes and no. I understand that and as someone who doesn't do anything BUT traditional, I can see that veiw. But if I had something with alot of work in it that had been messed up like that, I would surely consider that method to salvage it. I can't redraw somethingh, it is NEVER as good as the original and I hate redoing work!

Anyway, piece looks like it's progressing along nicely, even in light of mishap. Also, HELL YEAH COELACANTH.
