Oh, I have nothing against hides/taxidermy (I collect hides myself), I just think that the stereotypical snarl looks ugly and it's normally not done well at all. This one's not too bad, but if it had been close-mouthed it would have looked muuuch better. No disrespect meant towards you. The only person I'm disrespecting is the taxidermist! xD
It's the use I object to more so than the style.
I agree I like the way a "rug" is laid out, but as you said I much rather have it on my wall, or covering a table than something to walk on. Though I do have sheep skin I use for my dog to sleep on that's a bit different than a fur hide.
