And the EO Tech is well suited for a .50 for some situations. My uncle got to use an M82 with an EO Tech while assisting the Coast Guard with some Cubans a while ago. They even let him keep a few cigars off that one.

I think so. Not mine. The EOTech was okay, but I'm still deciding what I like about optics.

looks like it is, the bushmaster is the only one i know with the bolt handle on the left so you dont have to take your finger off the trigger.

I still have yet to fire one. I have a .338 and it kicks like a mule, I could imagine what that would do.

With that big ol' muzzle break and about 20 lbs of gun or so behind it, the kick was quite manageable.

Not familar with the Cobb.... but a 50 is a 50. kick really isn't as bad as its made out to be with a good heavy gun and decent recoil pads. a 338 without recoild pads would be worse really, and i HAVE shot a 338 without pads, so I say from at least some experiance. BMG rounds can be had for down to 4 bucks a shot if gotten in bulk.... but specialty rounds, or hand loads can easily go for 8 bucks! the 338 isnt much cheaper to shoot, but is still a pretty hefty gun!

Kind of moot, 'cause it's not my gun. A .338 would be just about as much fun, though.
