Coming soon to your local public broadcasting service, it's Darlin' Darina, Dragon Ballerina!
Meet Darina, the cutest dancer ever! She's here to show you that everyone has a special something that's all their own. Even if it doesn't seem like much to you, maybe someone else will like that part of who you are, and be your new friend! Remember:
Just because you're different
Doesn't mean it's gross or bad!
Share what makes you special
With the bestest friends you've ever had!
In canon, the troupe decided to record interviews with their stage personas for the internet to advertise their performances. For some reason, Darin's persona (a most definitely not-safe-for-kids type of person) ended up being confused with being an actual kids' show mascot, causing all sorts of trouble. But with Robert's clever thinking and Markus' writing, they managed to cobble together a few episodes of a show meant to teach kids how to dance, how to be nice to each other, and about how it isn't a bad thing to be different. Next thing they know, they've got a full season of thirteen ten-minute episodes with a plan for public broadcasting syndication. Life doesn't turn out exactly how you want it sometimes, huh?
(It helped Darin tone down on being such a creepy pervert in public, so it's a win-win all around, I s'pose).
