This was one of the earliest of sketches that I received. At my first furry con, Anthrocon 2002, I had no idea that auction pickup would take so long, so I was very late returning the car to the rental center.
Then I locked my keys in the car with my luggage inside.
Arriving with 29 minutes until flight departure from Philly, the e-ticket machine refused to give me a ticket.
At 15 minutes, the flight desk issued a provisional ticket, and told me to run for the gate.
At the security check, the guard blocked the exit so he could yell at some kids. Then, I set off the metal detector with my phone that I forgot to take off.
I arrived in the plane as the flight attendant was describing the use of seat-belts, and the plane began taxiing from the gate before I got into my seat.
The fur sitting next to me, Arturo Nava, drew a sketch for me after my breathing settled down a bit. I drew one for him, but I am not a very good artist, and it paled in comparison to this.
I do not know if Arturo is still part of the furry community, or if he is on FA, but it was an awesome drawing for a scatterbrain unused to the security features put in place after 2001.
