I can think of a few just from Steven Universe AU comics alone. Those guys THRIVE off making the little happy half-Gem boy miserable! If anything, his PTSD and broken saviour complex from Future encouraged them to make it even worse! Look up SU Gone Wrong, The Eldritch Gems, Permafusion Stevonnie, a fan fiction series where White Diamond succeeds in possessing Steven by Dimonds456, a fan fiction series called Twisted Roses by tunafishprincess, a fan fiction series called Shattered Reflection by SomaC, and finally a fan fiction series called Apex Predator (by someone on Ao3 who abandoned or "orphaned" their account) wherein after Steven accidentally shatters Jasper in Future, he goes on the road with her because he begins to think his family won't love him anymore and Jasper convinced Steven to conquer Earth, "for their own good". So Steven begins toppling third world dictators and installing loyal bureaucratic gems to lead those countries, restoring rainforests with his healing spit and plant controlling powers, creating new gems under abandoned warehouses, and healing the sick like a Gem Jesus Christ. The fan fiction glosses over most of the details on how he conquers all this through flash forwards, but focused more on Steven and Jasper's interdependent relationship, and how she actually learns how to be empathetic from Steven.

I limit myself to Garnet as far as Steven Universe fanworks go. Boy did the quality dropped fast on the later seasons of that show.

Yeah, but I still respect the hell out of Future for going all in on the ptsd angle. It probably would have ended a lot better if they were given more than 20 episodes, though. Also, I can't stand that people still don't get that Steven absolutely hates the diamonds as he was utterly shocked that Yellow was genuinely remorseful of the pain she caused her people in the episode "Homeworld Bound", while only wanting to kill White as soon as he was given power over her. Like there are genuinely people that think Steven has forgiven them of all the space genocide they've committed.

I just wanted an episode without anyone crying at the drop of a hat. There can be drama happening without any tears involved, Rebecca!

Crying is a natural response to emotional pain and unaddressed trauma, and most of Steven's family be they gems or Greg (and his cousin voiced by the guy who played Carl on Aqua Teen Hunger Force) are traumatized as Fuuuuuuck! And while I usually hate it when cartoons troll their critics, I always got a giggle out of the Crewniverse hearing that criticism that they cry too much and making "Crying Breakfast Friends" the in-universe cartoon show that only Steven seems to like and understand.
