My own personal head-canon: Kion and Rani mate and have children, but Kion's duties as Lion Guard. . . *ahem* Involve diplomacy with the hyena clan as they try to reintegrate back into the Pride Lands, including *ahem* frequent, extensive and often private "negotiations" with the hyena matriarch.
With Rani knowing damn well what those two are up to, but not really minding, and actually deciding to count it among her duties to *ahem* help the Hyena Queen pick out a suitable husband.
Who knows? Maybe, at the same time this is going on, Rani is enjoying the company of her doting goofball hyena "ambassador".

What a pleasant surprise! I missed your preggy artwork very much! Especially The Lion King / Guard related couples - you always did best pics of them! Very sweet and lovely artwork, they both looks so happy and enjoying!

Personally a lot of us prefer Kion with some other girl other then what is canon in the series. Don't think there was any really build up and seems possibly forced.
I think a relationship between Kion and Jasiri would of been so much more interesting and there would be some kind of build up with some episodes. As for having kids, maybe possible with Kion have the Roar (like one commenter said) or some sort of magic and the kids having those magic genes can pass them down to future generations.
Although this relationship would of been a pretty bumpy ride, but would of been a great possibly way to make peace with the Lions and Hyenas and other Pridelanders.
