This book was recommended to me by
the wonderful
Waggable
"The Philosopher and the Wolf" written by Mark Rowlands, a university professor of philosphy in the UK. It was published by Granta Publications
and is available on Amazon and E-Bay and many other places.
If you enjoy a good, cerebral read that delves into the whys and hows of
human-animal interaction, then this book is for you. The book never mentions furry, but Mr. Rowlands is a fur if ever there was one.
His in-depth description of life with a wolf in the household is not be missed and will give you goosebumps.

may i point out just encase my previous comment starts some kinda not nice snowball of abuse at me (hope not!) that I've worked with wolves for a little while and am studying to do so full time, its how i know that that photo isn't a full wolf. Ive read parts of this book too and where he describes how and where he got the cub, it makes it more obvious its a cross breed and that anything over a 50 percent wolf mix is a legal wolf and needs a dangerous animals license 1974. :) none the less, living with a wolf dog would indeed give an insight such as he writes about and the facts I've stated don't negate the book any less. x x x x x PS hope no one does feel any negativity to my comments! it's happened before DX

You are 100% correct, the "wolf" is a wolf/dog mix,
something that the author freely admits.
The point of the book is more about the interaction
of humans and animals, and how wolves have important
lessons to teach us about ourselves. It's not so much
a nuts-and-bolts primer on caring for a wolf as a pet.
