Mmm.. practicing new things I think I learned..?
Like that when light hits an object of color, the brightest areas are more highly saturated color than the darker parts...
*nods wisely* yeah.. something like that. =p
So instead of using white or paler colors for brighter areas - I'm using more intense colors that are a little bit lighter in value. I think it's working pretty nicely.
More practice color stuff to come.

yeah. I have shittons of books on real media and digital painting, but seriously they don't use WORDS or good examples for HOW to PICK your colors when painting. They just show technique. I don't give a crap abotu tehcnique so much anymore, I care about it looking vibrant, or gloomy, or something! Just not BLARRGGHH color on bg!
