This was painted for my sister's birthday, 11/12, and is representative of both our "Homes": eastern Tennessee and Topsail Island, North Carolina. I wanted the tree in the middle to tie the two together as both have pine trees, so I made the Tennessee half a spruce/fir and the North Carolina half an Australian Pine.
I used the alta-prima or wet-on-wet style so popularized by the late Bob Ross
