Well, Lucario is also one of my fav Pokémon from Diamond/Pearl and it just jumped in my mind by seeing the silhuette.

Yeah, I also like to use him in Brawl just because of the Kamehameha-Aura Smash (~^.=.^~)

I like this because it's further proof that Zoroark is Lucario in werewolf form. :p

Yeah, I thought it would fit very well when there were just silhouettes available.
I just saw the new Pokémon movie on DVD though and have to admit that the design they chose looks very nice. Especially in the scenes from the movie trailers Zoroark looks very badass. In the movie I found the scenes with him and Zorua very cute.

I always saw it as Lucario and Zoroark being Yin and Yang. Lucario the aura-mancer and aura seer, while Zoroark is an Illusionist. It does seem funny that Zoroark is kinda kitsune-ish like in the legends, being able to make illusions to hide itself or mess with humans that invade their territory. I may be a zorua, but I want to be able to do that. Great job on this pic Shiny, to me this pic can be the ultra badass Lucario King or it could be an uber badass shiny Zoroark.

Tehehe, I just watched the episode of Pokémon Sunday(now called Pokémon Smash!) at TV Tokyo and I wanted to draw something about that later to be known as Zoroark formed Silhouette. And as we didn't know about Zoroark back then I considered it to be a new evolution for Lucario. =3

I felt the same way when I first saw Zoroark, though I had to wait till the american version of "Zoroark, master of illusions" was put on the air. I still think you did an amazing job, this is what i would see if they went back in time to find the anscestor's of zoroark and lucario. Great job again, I love the spikes in the chest almost as much as the ponytail, and the fact that Zoroark is like a kitsune when you think about it, right? Please correct me if I am wrong, I dislike having the wrong information. Keep up your great work.

Yup, I think you are right. They have really much in common especially for the ability to transform into humans which doesn't seem like to work for Dittos even. =3

I like mythology, if you haven't noticed. I love to see how people originally tried to explain things, like their fears or warnings to the younger generations. I don't care what country it is from or who is explaining it, I just love to read it. I hope that it doesn't freak you out or anything.

No, it doesn't. The modern monsters or game characters we all like and love all refer to animals and their mythologic relatives. I just read at this morning something about crocodiles who are called crogalls in Ireland. There wehre people in the past who thought that an enormous crocodile would swallow the moon everytime before the sun shows up and through an other got revived at every night. The moon would always be there to keed the mighty crocodile peaceful watching for the gods over the world like a big servant or watcher. Other people also thought the crocodile would only eat bad people and send them to the hell directly. It seems like crocodiles are mostly known fro devouring things in mythology.

I've noticed tbat, too. Egyptians have the souls weighed, their good deeds and bad deeds on either end. If their bad deeds outweigh the good deeds, they are devoured by a giant alligator and are digested for all eternity.

Oh, yeah. I think it refers to that crocodilian god called Sobek.

Yeah, I can't honestly remember many of the names but i can remember the storyline and plot. I have a book about it, I can get it and see what the full story is if you want.

Oh, I didn't know about Zoroark back when I drew it. It was the week before they revealed him. At that episode of Pokémon Sunday at TV Tokyo they just showed the silhouette and I felt like filling in the Pokémon that would maybe appear. My expectation was Lucario's next evolutionary level. They did new levels in the past so the chances were there that they would do it with him because of his popularity. =3

Happy you like it. It was at a time when nobody actually knew about Zoroark yet and the only thing was the shape so my guess was it might be a new evolution for Lucario, hehe. X3
