Two of the initial heroes of Furtasia (meaning the first companions Jaysen had), these two have proven to be both friends and rivals during their adventures. Alvis, the ranger, is a more refined fighter. Typically known as an archer, he also carries a pair of short swords in case the enemy is too close for him to line up a proper shot. Everett, who's basically a barbarian, is a lot less refined, relying more on rage, brute strength, and his axe to deal with enemies. When the battle begins, they'll usually set their stakes.

Alvis: "So, same as always?"

Everett: "Whoever bags the most enemies first wins."

Alvis: "Agreed."
