Why is she so reflective? Fur generally absorbs light differently. If you drew fur and lighting better your work would just be so so very much better, but you draw everyone like they are a damned coffee table with how reflective they are.

true however fur, when all combed or going in the same direction can give off a sort of "sheen" much like a clean dogs coat can still reflect some light.
Color of her fur also may be a factor. but yes, normally fur does scatter light a bit differently. This is also fictional, and still a great art piece.

I like how this looks. There's plenty of other artists who draw fur in other ways

First, I like the style, I LOVE shiny, but that's personal taste, and mine is an odd one, in general your right about what people like. Most would like a more fur looking fur. BUT suggestions go down better if instead of being all "Whys this look so damn bad" you did like I just did... say something possitive, something that understands the person and where they are coming from. Try more "I think your drawings are great, I think the fur looks a bit to 'plastic' you should try making it a bit softer and more defuse."

Not everything needs to have something positive. Not everything needs to be offensive unless you make it offensive.

If someone needs to compliment you first before they offer criticism to avoid hurting your feelings then perhaps there’s more to be concerned about.

There is a difference between constructive criticism and destructive criticism like your comment was buddy.

I think it's because of a style choise. This picture is so stylized that, even if their fur wasn't so reflective, it still wouldn't look like a real fur and they still wouldn't look like real animals at all. So why bother giving them a more realistic fur texture?

It's a style in a world of pure imagination can't hold the laws of refraction to an artistic rendition of a made up universe
Plus perspective can change how we view things (literally) even irl
Not saying you're wrong in your analysis just saying things can change once your mind is open to it I see reflecting light everything including fur, but I have a tendency to see what most cannot.
So yeah perspective :3

Yeah they did take a game in the works reskined it for starfox and rushed the F*** out of it.

Indeed, the whole game, despite a great writing, was rushed. Like Fox could hear the translate language before Slippy completed it, the misspeak in the conversation between Fox and Tricky (his dad is still caught at that point Fox and Tricky met - Fox had no way to know about that part), Fox had a conversation with CloudRunner about Krystal (but Fox didn't mention Krystal's name, which is mystery)...

I love the way you drew her anticipating giving someone a kiss. There's a kind of familiarity to it that I can't really put my finger on, but I find it adorable. And it just makes his embarrassment about it all the cuter.
