Rather old photo of my now-gone companion, Kaci (1990-2005). This was taken c. 1999 or 2000 on a 35mm camera and the quality of the picture isn't the best, but it is a photo that really captures the essence of her beauty and her presence. She's not a Golden Retriever, for those who might think so at first glance. She was actually a mixed breed, a combination of White Shepherd and Golden Retriever. It's hard to tell, but on top of her head was a nice bony "knot" that really was one of her more defining Shepherd characteristics. Other than that, she was just a big golden poofball that we lovingly called a Wookiee. And no, she didn't make the Wookiee noise, :D!
