Taken quite a few years ago while I was staying at a resort on the Chippewa Flowage in northern Wisconsin...this is a group of black duck females that always hung around by our pier. The cool thing was, they didn't seem like they were afraid of people that much, and even when we were like, a foot away, they didn't shy but the nice thing is we would feed them a little bit and they'd stay for quite some time. This is not a digital photograph, either. Taken on an old 35mm camera, this photo is a fine representative of just a snippet of the fauna one can find in Wisconsin.
