Matthew Ratberg (Chaotic Good Alignment). Once treated as a criminal both for stealing to survive and for rebelling against a corrupt system, he has since become one of the eight "Heroes of Furtasia", and is now known as one who stands up for innocents that the worst of the nobility think they can just step on. Many of those wicked nobles soon found themselves missing most of their worldly possessions.

Spencer Dunratt (Lawful Evil Alignment). A corrupt lawman who manipulates the rules to get what he wants, who cares more for his own status and public reputation than he does the people. He and his henchfurs have been humiliated by Matthew on many occasions, and he has vowed to claim vengeance. He does so with sinister plots and devilish traps for his nemesis. None of which have ever been successful.

Spencer: "Today's the day you die, Wharf Rat!"

Matthew: "Oh? Did the last hundred or so days I die not count?"
