Remington doesn't really mention anything about his past, often not wanting to explain a sob story to others. The only thing he ever mentions on the topic is that he once had a father that tended to get into trouble with owing others poke. This sort of issue caused his parents to separate with Remington being pulled away from his father due to the worry of becoming targets as well. Remington often misses his father, having looked up to him thanks to the knowledge he shared on pokemon battles and protecting himself. Later in his life, Remington tried to find ways of getting poke in order to help support his mother now that it was only the two of them. This was the spark that led him to try taking part in shady businesses in the hopes he could support his mother just like his father did. As much as the gig was helpful to his mother as she was surprised Remington was doing so much, but he didn’t exactly enjoy the types of trouble he got into during his jobs. This sort of caused Remington to change in his personality which his mother tried to pass off as him finally growing up, but it was the magazines she found him with and the late-night travels that forced him to come clean. His mother was worried upon hearing it, knowing well he just wanted to help after everything they went through. It was this moment he had had to quit for his safety and mother's wishes, soon leading to a large situation with the business trying to keep Remington from leaving. Remington has escaped and is better now, but he does often worry about being caught up in his previous bandit antics.
