I am awesome...wow... This is one picture from the roll of 35 that I took. I went to buy paper for my future prints and asked the guy at the counter if he could make a print of one of my negatives. This is the only picture I've had developed because I haven't learned how to do it myself yet. Anyhow, I'm in Photography 1 at college and I'm loving it so far. Our first homework was to use a whole roll of film on our bathroom. 35 exposures approximately.
The idea was to be creative. So I took my Cannon AE 1 and shot the fuck out of my bathroom. Then I went back to school with my homework and found out that our next homework assignment was to turn our film into negatives and bring in random objects that, if looked at, you can see your hand behind it.
It took about 3 hours to make my negatives, understandable for my first time. Taking this class and seeing this picture that I took all by myself with my creative mind made me think of going into photography. I'm insanely interested in it. This is actually the first class I have EVER taken notes in, not just for the sake of taking notes, but to have a guide handy on me at all times. I carry my notebook to class every time and keep it in my pocket to make sure I don't lose it.
Anyhow, This is a close-up of a shell I found in my bathroom. I tried to place it in an empty spot on the floor in order to try and display emptiness. I focused on the front of the shell with my macro lens to emphasize on the shell and to kind of get the background to look unimportant. I think I succeeded. I can't wait to learn how to make prints out of my negatives. I'll post more pictures when I learn how to get my negatives on paper.
