Yeah, I went there once too, when I first visited the city. All the places I wound up were totally by accident, though! Situations like "oh, hey, this is THAT! *takes picture*" Took a pic near the library lion (which is also the first thing you see in the 1984 movie)

Walking along Central Park West, I just STOPPED and looked to the left, and I was at 55 Central Park West, the apartment building in the movie. Even the church was next to it! I wouldn't have recognized or even noticed it, had it not been for these ornamental things on it:

Now we were just sitting here for about 45 minutes, in this big circle, with a fountain in the middle.

GB3 is all just theories right now. It's been on IMDB for over a decade, and still there's people who think "OMG it's coming!" If you ask me, I am perfectly happy with the videogame being part 3. The actors have all said "We're too old to be in another movie, and if we ARE in it, we're going to be 'passing the torch' as it were". What this means is:
Just as the original film was built from Saturday Night Live and SCTV alumni, the "newcomers" that the GB's would be giving the mantle to would be modern SNL members... and I'm sorry, but I just don't believe it'd work.
If they DO start shooting anything in the city anytime soon, yeah, I'll check it out :)
