I was out in the backyard and I saw my rabbit Jay digging a hole behind a tree he loves to dig.
And this isn't the only hole he made, He dug three others before this one, there was one that he made at the side of the houes that almost went at the foundation.

natural instinct. Rabbits hate being out in the open where they can easily fall pray to any number of hungry things so the males will tend to make a shallow scraping to hide in while the females go all out and dig a full burrow.
Its cool watching just how fast they can make a hole :)
