Next up: Molly of the Shadows! This is the oldest version of Molly, although she's also evolving. She is my goth side, which thinks broken things and twisted love are hypnotically beautiful.
When I moved to LA, one of the first things Sondra and I did was go down to the Santa Monica Pier at night. The water and the sky were so black you couldn't see where one ended and the other began. I found myself standing at the end of an aisle of light and reality, looking out into what was simply the void.
Part of me was deeply moved by that experience, and that part is Molly of the Shadows.
Above all, Molly of the Shadows is that side of me which knows how to tip bitter despair over and make it sweet and haunting melancholy.

I grew up in Los Angelas and lived in both Hermosa and redondo Beach for many years.
I had a few moments of clarity In my younger days (when I was'nt blitzed on beer + pills) where I would sit and stare into that dark void and listen to the waves crash for hours. It is moving indeed.
Anyhoo, I like what your art has to say, Molly's neat. I can't go that deep inside myself, my mind is a scary place and I stay out of there as often as possible!
