Just another bit of character design practice with my favorite Cats ensemble queen; Demeter giving a bit of a coy look, which is a rare thing to catch from an otherwise skittish individual...my guess is she's got a certain tom in her sight. No, it's not Macavity. :3
This was actually going to be a picture for a color test with her markings (I added the golden eyeshadow from her costume to check out the design before I impliment it in future pictures), and then I thought, "eh, might as well make it nice," and then suddenly it was also shaded, unlike my other practices. xP So there ya go, a more formally complete piece of fanart whilst I work through this continual obsession of mine. XD

I think she's funny and adorable x3 Actually I think all of them are neat in different ways; I can name all thirty-ish cats present in the video version. But I digress. I haven't actually tried to draw her yet, but I am working on a character head-sheet featuring everybody. XD
Quite honestly I wish more people were familiar with the musical. The costumes and makeup are some of the best I've seen on a stage show, and the music is drop-dead beautiful, to say nothing of the sweet little story and all the characterization put into each and every single character. But I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, even among furries for some reason. x3
