So for those that don't know Kiba, our Akita, injured his leg at one point. He ended up limping for a day or two and we ended up taking him to the vet because I noticed he wasn't putting all the weight on it and I could feel it popping if I tried to tense it up.

So he had his recheck the other day, which went ok I guess. I mean it could have gone worse where they told me he has to go in for surgery because it's gotten worse. Though they didn't really tell me much either way. They told me it looks like it is healing, just slowly. But I know injuries like this can take time to heal and if it comes down to it he may need surgery or could possibly injure the other leg as well. Which at least if it comes down to that he is covered under insurance, so that'll probably help in a worst care scenario.

But they did say that a leg brace will help him and wouldn't hurt to look into. They do feel like I could probably just let him take it easy for a while more and he would probably be fine, in part because he's really young still. But at the same time he still spazzes and has his zoomies, which probably doesn't help anything. Along with how things tend to go with me it's better safe than sorry.

So at this point I'm looking into some sort of custom leg brace, which isn't going to end up being cheap either way. Just looking them up a little they apparently can range anywhere from $700-$1000 for good custom ones.

But at this point I'm attempting to try and reach out for help with all of that. Sadly I'm not really holding my breath on multiple levels, but I figured it's worth a shot. I ended up making a gofundme to try and get some help with getting the money together to get him what he needs. I still need to take the time to settle on a brace that I want to get, but the ones I've looked at so far look pretty good either way.

But at the very least all I ask is to help spread around the link to people. This is pretty much as social online as I get, I don't have a twitter or anything like that to help share it around.
