I have no idea how to describe the vocal genre, but it has a sense of sincerity to it that seems lacking in some of the more classical renditions. A slight quaver here, a hitch there, but like artistically placed makes it sound more genuine, Less artificial. More like a true act of spontaious praise and less a distilled artistic rendition of ritual.

I've performed a lot of classical music, including in choral ensembles, but yes, ultimately I feel like my original fidelity is to rock/"alternative" music...I have a more organic connection to that sort of aleatoric energy...
