To be fair, I'm almost positive he's more shocked by how that thing got inside his home, as doors were a luxury in terms of space, and built no larger than they needed to be as they tended to be load bearing at this point, and especially in something like a smithy.

That said, it is an offer, and I wouldn't say no to him, though he'd need to submit some fairly detailed measurements, and maybe give a bit of aid to get a bigger forge and bellows made.
