A slight redesign of a gift character I received years ago, and then left unattended in a Scraps gallery. Here's that character redesigned as Medium Rare the pony!

Medium Rare (or simply "Rare") is a pony who embraces his role -- and that role is to be delicious food. While others might shy away from an oven, Rare loves them. Or stewpots. Or spits. Or grills. Or... well, you get the point. To help would-be chefs in their endeavors, he wears a small utility belt with a few essential supplies on them. One particularly noteworthy feature is his flank mark, which is currently seen as an uncooked steak. This mark functions as a natural meat thermometer, appearing more grilled as Rare's internal temperature rises.
