Winter was always Violet's favourite season. Warm sweaters, hot chocolate, good books, and the muted sounds of nature. More often than not she would sit in the window seat of her lodge, reading a blood or gazing out at the endless world of white.
Today was such a day. Liv and Mave curled up at her feet, nestled in one of the many blankets the feline had acquired over the years. Rav himself was under her legs, acting as a rest for the main body's thighs while she read. Originally she was enraptured in a copy of "The Three Musketeer" - her first read through of the classic, and already she was in love with the brooding figure of Athos.
Until a set of footsteps caught her attention and she looked up to find her favourite companion watching her. He leaned against the doorframe, a small smile on her lips, and a new sweater draped over his arm.
