This reminds me of a joke my friends and I said here and there. Something like "The less it covers the body, the more protection it gives," or something like that. It was a stupid MMORPG joke, though it works in anime as well :P

A rule that amusingly applies in RPGs as well, considering how little female warriors wear for some reason (a clearly exposed stomach being the bare minimum requirement apparently).
