So here's one of a trio of characters I'm making I called the "Slime Trio". Basically to give a brief explanation, with my world building there is this stuff called residual slime. Basically elemental goo produced by species with a strong amount of element upon death. This slime can sometimes retain the memories or personality of its former owner and live on as its own being carrying what was left behind of its original self and those who have greater memories can form makeshift bodies out of their slime to resemble more of a living creature. Though sometimes this doesn't transfer well leaving the newly formed creature primal. However some other things can cause this residual slime to form, but Dakota here is one of the more lucky ones due to some unfortunate events I'll get into now. (I'll probably add more info about him as I draw him in the future but here's a basic synopsis.)

Info: Dakota is a creature born from Void slime in a former life being a Yuvera. (Though possibly Myrazma or Faevera, still debating on this.) In this former life he had been a knight but after losing his life he had grown a sudden interest in the arts of magic. He had awoken deep within the abyss of a cave system and traveled upwards having forgotten nearly everything of his memories and eventually met with a old friend of his having fallen in a similar fate as himself. Eventually the two reunited with a third friend who also lost their old life and agreed to venture out of the cavern deep below the province of Nocturne. As they traveled it was quite the difficult journey but each of their memories had slowly came to until they eventually realized who they truly were. Once they had finally left the place realizing Nocturne had been destroyed since their deaths they had traveled to the Mainland wishing to start life anew and figure out how to restore themselves from their current state as slime.

Dakota himself is rather short being only four feet tall but can be quite handy with his magic capabilities. He is more softspoken than his friends but can be quite open when given a chance. He has a deep care for his friends typically inclined to do everything he can to help them when needed. Not usually one to immediately see conflict needing to end in violence he tries to end things more peacefully should they arise but if need be will do what he can to aid others and fight. His interest in magic had given him the desire to read often leaving him reading about books... Though his normally large hands make this somewhat difficult. He can however adjust his form to better suit his desires or even fully shift his appearance altogether but typically retains this shape as its his most comfortable state of being. He does however lack a true gender, unlike his friends he doesn't actually have a chosen gender but most who view him typically see him as male. Though if asked directly he tends to grow flustered over this.
