The "Langer Franz" (Long Francis, named after the Lord Mayor Franz Adickes) is the clocktower of the Frankfurt city hall. It still has the makeshift roof installed after the war when the original pinnacle of the tower was destroyed (photo of before the war: http://www.altfrankfurt.com/Altstad.....-Rathaus-0.htm ). There are plans to restiore the tower thou.
