mulefoot 's Hodge the pig, all dressed up for a night on the town. This is a test of my new acrylic inks, just seeing what they do. I obviously have a way to go before I'm really comfortable with them, but so far I ADORE them. They seem to have many of the advantages of watercolor, acrylic, marker and ink, only without a lot of the things I hate about all of the above. I may have a new favorite medium here.

You can use it to get very watercolory effects, although it has a much shorter malleabe time. Still a neat thing to get to be able to do; watercolor effects with acrylic vividness.
The thing that I'm hoping they may be able to do more is mimic. at least to a degree, some of the effects of prismacolor markers; a vivid, straightforward transparent color that you can layer in a very crisp way. I'm disillusioned by the pens because they really aren't lightfast over time at all.
I'm hoping that I can start doing what I used to like to do with pens, in this.
