No need to be... its hard to get a leak and even if you do the coolant is specially designed to be none conductive, iv had a leak before with a inappropriately restrained pipe and got fluid all over my graphics card... dint even notice till my coolant levels got low for some reason :P
Tho i guess on top of that its expensive :P
Tho i guess on top of that its expensive :P
And before you ask why not just get a single HD5850 because it would be around the price of two HD5770... the HD5770 have faster memory clock to start with, also it would add two GPUs instead of just one and I don't have to buy it in one lump i can get a single card at a time so it spreads the cost out over time :)
my plan was to get the HD5850 tho but the other option looks like a better idea :D
Also iv grown to hate Nvidia's driver support is why I'm going back to ATI :)

pretty much the same plan here, though I'm thinking of doin crossfire 5750 since they're cheaper and then pretty much the performance of the 5850. My issue with the 5850 though...is it's suppose to be $259.99 according to ATI, but since it's so in demand everyone is charging like $309+ and with Nvidia developing that odd cell tracing card, who knows. ATI might come out with something to stomp it that would render the 5850 way obsolete. Dual 5750 comes out to $278 and then I'm finally utilizing the crossfire on my board XD running a single Nvidia GPU on a crossfire board is a funny concept.
I will give it to nvidia though... the 8800/9800/GTS 250 is a really really sweet product, the G92 chip is just fantastic for what it is, their new chips though are really inefficient.

I looked at the 5750, but there less possessing cores and slower ram speed and such and theres only £10 difference between that and the 5770, but also here the 5850 it only costs £230. But id also prefer crossfire so i can actually use it and spreading the laod across multiple GPUs works better
You got better specs than my desktop I would wish for a job to get another video card, more RAM, and bigger power supplies so I can run a 500 GB and a 200 GB hard drives at the same time.
I only have is a
Intel Duo Core 2.33 GHz (no overclock)
NVidia 8800 GTS (no overclock)
ABit Motherboard
no liquid coolants
2 GIGs of RAM
500W power supply
Windows 7 64 bit professional
Viper Desktop case
It works pretty fine on Unreal Tournament 3 except playing on the PhyX maps that got my desktop froze once and drops to 5 FPS, and in WoW, Dalaran slows me down to 1 FPS and throws a blank screen errors on me till I have to change the effects down. But, that happens when my XP was acting all weird after the CD/DVD drive went wacko.
I do wish to have a Windows 7 on my laptop, but it's in 32 bit and this thing runs a Windows Vista and that causes me so much trouble including 1 GB of RAM.

As long there's no glitching operating system or a malfunction motherboard that likes to freeze up your PC. I have that happening when I used to have AMD/ATI stuff on my Desktop. From an ASUS motherboard that likes to freeze on me to another motherboard that acts fine till later it too freezes on me. That usually happens when I browse around in Deviantart and/or playing FFXI or UT2004.
