Yeah, I think of it as "Meta-Porn". Anytime a story gets too heavy you can just imagine a director yelling "CUT!" and then the camera zooms out to show everything is happening on a film set. It can actually give some stories a really funny tone if you imagine them as literal pornography rather than real events.

Worked completely the other way around with me, actually. With the story yet to resolve the considerable damage Ginny did to the poor guy, a scene where it's hand-waved like this only rubbed salt in the wound.

I mean, he actually did the story of the comic fine, it's just unfortunate that he can't appeal to everyone. It's totally fine that you didn't enjoy the way the story played out, but the fact you felt the need to comment on a 6 month old post only to slam the artist is kind've a shitty thing to do. Having an opinion is fine, coming onto a artist's piece and telling him basically "you suck" is not.
