Day 126 - Half Life Critters 02
Don't have enough time today to fully dedicate myself to digital painting, so I decided to do some critter sketches. However, I got sucked into a full on discussion on GoldSrc and Source games and this ended up being all I have time for today. Tomorrow, I shall work more on Αυτο το Αστερι.
For now, I have a question. Which of these monsters from HL1 really felt like they were missing from HL2?

Barnacles are annoying. They can pop out when you least expect it.
Though when you've played the game so many times that even breaking it by messing around in the console, you begin to remember exactly where and when things are going to come out at you.
Half life 2 needed more aliens to fight though, I'll agree with that. At the very least, less combine. They start to feel really samey after a while.
Giant tentacle was my favorite to fight against at any rate...

Gonome for sure as it could be argued the combine would have defeated the Xen race's warrior species and the gonome would be more likely to exist in an environment where head-crabs were pretty much already being used as weapons.
Though I sill think snarks, hound-eyes and yes even the X species and maybe some alien grunts could have been still alive somewhere.
