This is only my 2nd Krystal drawing, the first being a rough MS paint sketch that never went anywhere. I do like the character, despite not participating in the massive wave of fan arts from the mid-2000s to the present day. I've never played a single Star Fox game so I have no opinion regarding that aspect of the character, I just think she has quite a good character design. And at the end of the day, isn't that enough?

thanks for the tip! I think the problem is that the figure was drawn on the page a bit tilted :v But now that you mention it, the tail could have been drawn sweeping out in the other direction and that could have provided some balance. Well, that's something to remember for next time!
thank you for saying so! I ended up fretting over the eyes for a bit, trying to decided how much outlining I should do. She actually looks more wide-eyed here than in her game model and her face lacks detail, but I wanted to play it safe since it's so easy to wreck the appearance of the whole face with just one pen-stroke in the wrong spot :E
I'm sure the blue fur was unusual when she first appeared, but a few years later it became pretty tame compared to some of the off-the-wall designs that people ended up giving their original characters. I actually wonder now if she would be as popular as she is if she was given a more realistic fur colour, hmm. And I agree, the tail wraps do look cool :')
Yes indeedy, I've also found a lot of good stuff over the years by scanning other peoples' favourites. It does help in finding something you might have otherwise missed since not everybody tags their artwork, or even writes a description for it :v And I'm glad you liked my Krystal drawing! I do think her character design is just fantastic, so I don't know why it ended up taking me so long to finally draw a picture of her :B
